The Hafler Duo consists of brothers, Jeff and Jamie Hafler. Originally from Pickerington, Ohio, they now reside in Wonder Valley, California, just outside of Joshua Tree National Park. Jeff moved to the High Desert 5 years ago from Los Angeles. It wasn't until he moved to the desert that he started to play the guitar. Teaching himself guitar enabled Jeff to rediscover his voice, as he had been a singer all his life. The wide open spaces and unbridled creative energy of the desert were all he needed to begin his musical journey. Jamie moved to Wonder Valley in 2006 from Ohio. He has always been musically inclined and has played multiple instruments since the age of 12. Jamie had played with several successful bands over the years, but was ready to leave Ohio.  As soon as Jamie arrived in the desert, he and Jeff started to play their music together. Their talents and styles complimented each other so well that they started to write music together and became The Hafler Duo. Now they play every Friday in 29 Palms, at the 29 Palms Inn. They have also started doing regular gigs in Palm Springs, and have performed live on the local radio station z107.7 fm. They spent the last year writing and recording their new album HduO, which is largely inspired by their lives in the desert.
